So far, the series has been collected in 14 tankōbon volumes as of July 2023. The story is about Zhuge Liang, who was transported from ancient China to modern-day Shibuya in Tokyo. He uses military tactics to help his friend, Eiko Tsukimi, become a music star.
The anime series produced by P.A. Works was available for streaming from March to June 2022 and aired on television from April to June of the same year. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series, which can be streamed on their Hidive platform outside of Japan. In Q4 of 2023, a live-action television drama will premiere based on the same story.
Zhuge Liang Kongming, a famous military strategist, died in the Battle of Wuzhang Plains in 234. On his, he expressed his wish to be reborn in a peaceful place free from bloodshed. He is reborn as a youth in modern-day Japan and appears in the middle of a Halloween costume party in Tokyo’s club district. The partygoers, also known as “Paripi” in Japanese, invite him to a nightclub where he meets Eiko Tsukimi, an aspiring singer, and thus begins his second life.
In 2020, the series received the U-NEXT award for the web category at the Next Manga Awards. It was also ranked 9th on the Honya Club website’s “Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics of 2021” list. As of July 2023, over 1.2 million copies of the manga were in circulation.

Kongming will assist her by searching for some jazz music artists named the Wakatsuki siblings. Unfortunately, the siblings disagree, and Kongming must get them back together by acting as a D.J.
Furthermore, Eiko’s mother, Shoko, feels that the city is too vast for her and that pursuing a music career isn’t the right path for Eiko. Kongming will once again serve as a mediator between the two. Shoko has decided to give Eiko an opportunity, but only if her next song, Flower Crown, becomes successful. Eiko accepts the challenge and heads to Tokyo to seek inspiration, where she reminisces about her distant past with her mother.
