The place was formerly called Ruby Montana’s Coral Sands Inn. Mattel had intended to convert it into an Airbnb rental property, but she altered her plans after inspecting the site. She purchased the venue for about $1.9 million and spent $500,000 on refurbishments. She collaborated with designer Dani Dazey on the renovation project.
The series trailer was released on May 4, 2022, through YouTube. The trailer features Mattel’s song “Stay the Night” from her fourth album, The Blonde & Pink Albums. The same song is used as the opening theme of the series.
Mattel revealed that she wrote the song with the series in mind, even before it was picked up for television. Discovery+ later released a ten-minute clip of the beginning of the first two episodes on their YouTube channel. Trixie used part of the first episode during her “Grown Up” tour as her opening act to promote the show.
