About The Terminal List

The Terminal List is a TV show on Amazon Prime Video created by David DiGilio and is based on Jack Carr’s novel of the same name. The plot revolves around a Navy SEAL who seeks revenge for his family’s murder. The show features actors like Chris Pratt, Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, and Jeanne Tripplehorn. Although the reviews for the show have been mixed, it was renewed for a second season in February 2023.

The show tells the story of Lieutenant Commander James Reece. His team of Navy SEALs was attacked during a covert operation, leaving Reece with confusing memories and doubts about his responsibility. As he seeks answers and more information comes to light, Reece realizes that dangerous groups threaten him and his loved ones.

In the 2012 film Zero Dark Thirty, Pratt played the role of a Navy SEAL and became friends with Jared Shaw, also a Navy SEAL. Shaw knew Jack Carr from their time in the Navy and shared his book with Pratt. Pratt had started a production company and was interested in developing his own projects.

Carr revealed that Pratt was his inspiration for the story and had initially hoped for Antoine Fuqua to direct it. However, Pratt soon found out that he was bidding against Fuqua for the rights, so they decided to team up and work on the project together. The series was later renewed for a second season by Amazon Prime Video on February 1, 2023.

Amazon Prime Video has ordered a prequel series centered on Ben Edwards that will be airing, featuring Taylor Kitsch returning to the role. The announcement was made in February 2023.

According to reviews from 56 critics on Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a 39% approval rating and an average rating of 5.5/10. The website’s critics’ consensus suggests that while Chris Pratt gave his all to the mission in The Terminal List, the show’s overall tone may be too stern. Metacritic scored 40 out of 100 based on reviews from 25 critics, indicating “mixed or average reviews”. CinemaBlend.com summarized the reviews by saying that critics agree the show falls into the “Shows For Dads.”

On February 1, 2023, Amazon announced the renewal of The Terminal List season 2 based on True Believer, the next book in Jack Carr’s series. While no information about subsequent seasons has been released, the show’s creators have indicated a desire to continue the series with more sequels and hinted at the potential plotline. Writer David DiGillo and directors Antonie Fuqua and Jack Carr are all interested in adapting additional novels in the series for future seasons.

They mentioned that they are excited to commence work on a new season and have already started modifying the concepts for the sequel. On average, Carr publishes only one book per year. DiGillo stated that they have a roadmap for the series in their minds, but because Carr releases only one book per year, the show’s production may take longer and delay the series’ premiere.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Chris Pratt returned to The Terminal List Season 2 Cast as the former Navy SEAL James Reece. We hope that Constance Wu will also return since she played the role of journalist Katie Buranek so well. The choice of Taylor Kitsch is ambitious, as he played two characters with a touching brotherly relationship. However, his betrayal and involvement in a cover-up that led to many deaths caught up with him and led to his downfall, which Reece sought vengeance for.

It is assumed that Reece murdered his best friend by shooting him, but since the death was not shown on screen, it is possible that the friend did not actually die and may recover. We hope he is alive because he was loved by many. The chances of seeing FBI agent Tony Liddle, played by JD Pardo, and his partner Mac Wilson, played by Christina Vidal, are high.

The Terminal List Season 2 Trailer

Since the announcement of the second season, the production has not released a trailer yet. It is assumed that the team will wait until they finish post-production and then release a trailer ahead of its official premiere on Amazon Prime Video. We can expect to see some sneak peeks from The Terminal List Season 2 sometime in late 2023 or early 2024.

For the story to make sense, you need to explain how Reece survived his dangerous tumor despite not wanting to live and accepting his fate. It seems unlikely that he would have sought medical treatment for his illness, especially considering the emotional trauma he experienced from losing his wife and daughter.

If the tumor is less lethal than expected, it could make things more complicated for him regarding accepting the situation and deciding what to do next. The FBI agent was struggling with the decision to release Reece. Pursuing him could create further issues since Reece had already shown he would not surrender easily.

The Terminal List Season 2 Episodes Count

Season 1 was packed with 8 episodes of action and suspense, and we can expect the same for season 2. However, there is no information about how many episodes will be included in the second instalment of The Terminal List – it could have 8 episodes or more since David DiGillo wants to tell a longer story.
