About Star Trek: Picard TV Series

Star Trek Picard is a renowned American web television series created by executive producer Alex Kurtzman for CBS All Access. It’s the eighth series in the Star Trek franchise and centers on the character Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart.

The first trailer was released on May 23, 2019. The series takes place 20 years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis and follows a now-retired Jean-Luc Picard living in his vineyard estate with only his loyal dog, Number One, for companionship. His life is disrupted when he receives a mysterious message from someone from his past, which leads him to take up arms against a new nemesis, along with members of Starfleet and other allies.

The cast includes Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway, Evan Evagora, and Isa Briones. The show is set to explore the next chapter of Picard’s life, touching upon the impact of his resignation from Starfleet and exploring themes of redemption.

The series also promises to feature many returning characters, such as Data (Brent Spiner) in some form as well as appearances by Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) and William Riker (Jonathan Frakes). A new alien species called the Fenris Rangers has been introduced. Star Trek: Picard debuted on CBS All Access in late 2019 with 10 episodes.

After a successful run of 3 seasons in a row, the series came to an end in 2023. Fans wanting to know more about the series fate must have expected Picard Season 4, but it will not be happening.

Picard is the best scy-FYI show out there and it would be a shame not to continue. Possibly a sequel with Jack as the new Picard and continuing on to new and exciting adventures

“the second and third dropped on air”
WRONG! S02 & 3 were carried, not dropped by Paramount; and, ST:PIC S04 has been dropped by Paramount. Bad Robot Trek 4 remains in pre-production holding pattern, and Paramount does not want to dilute box office.

  6. David Collier says

I love everything about Star Trek and Picard did not disappoint, please guys one more season, and then one after that, and another after that, etc.

      Agreed!

I mean to be fair I don’t think TNG ever should have ended. Season 2 I actually almost broke my TV by screaming at Q! But this!!!??!! Move over Q, a new most contemptible and rage inducing monster might have come to town. I may only be 41 but Patrick Stewart never disappoints. He himself is what I imagine a Picard wine to be. (He is number 2 on my no questions asked list) I have no idea if it would flatter or embarrass him. I love JLP. If course but I genuinely appreciate the cast. This cast in general. Most of my confused first crushes came from that show. They just shouldn’t do that to their fans. It’s like making your fans wait like 15 years and giving them phantom menace. Don’t be mean to your fans!

  7. Patrick Marie Hilley says

Oh say it isn’t so! Too many loose ends! I absolutely love Picard and the entire crew. I use to have a major crush on Data …tee-hee😁Glad to see he made it back!

  8. Mary S Guth says

Agreed, definitely. And I really will miss 7, Raffi. and Worf; they were so well written and played. I have truly enjoyed every minute of their airtime. The others, Stewart, Frakes, and Sirtis are so at ease with each other that, well, I look forward to Thursdays. Please continue this show. It’s been wonderful.

  9. Brenda Gamble says

Please, please do not end with Season 3. I agree with David Collier.
