It stars Simon Bird as Adam Goodman, Tamsin Greig as Jackie Goodman, Paul Ritter as Martin Goodman and Mark Heap as Jim “Jimmie” Wilson.

The series comprises six seasons and has been praised by critics for its endearing characters and wry humor. Each episode begins with the family sitting down to dinner together and ends with them bidding each other good night. Throughout the episodes, various storylines unfold involving members of the family or their friends, which often result in chaos.
