“Tulsa King” is a crime drama TV series by Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter show for Paramount+. Sylvester Stallone stars in his first major TV role as a Mafia leader who is released from prison. He relocates to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to start a new criminal organization. The show premiered on November 13, 2022, and was renewed for a second season in the same month.
After serving a 25-year sentence, New York Mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi is sent by his boss to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to set up criminal operations. Since he doesn’t know anyone in the area, he is looking for a new crew to assist him in building his empire.
In December 2021, a new Paramount+ series titled “Kansas City,” created by Taylor Sheridan and a show run by Terence Winter, was announced. Sylvester Stallone was cast in the lead role, marking his first scripted television appearance. By February 2022, the show was officially ordered into a series and renamed “Tulsa King.” The location was changed to Tulsa instead of Kansas City, Missouri, and Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, and Jay Will joined the cast.
The cast of a new show was announced, including A.C. Peterson, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, and Garrett Hedlund in May and Dana Delany in June. Annabella Sciorra joined the cast in August.
