The Untitled Nick Wootton/Jake Coburn Project is a heist drama where a criminal mastermind named Elena Federova faces off against an FBI agent named Val Turner, who follows a strict moral code. On April 21, 2021, NBC ordered a pilot episode of the show created by Nicholas Wootton and Jake Coburn. Julie Plec and Emily Cummins were expected to be the show’s executive producers, and Wootton wrote the pilot.

NBC has ordered the Endgame to become a series on September 21, 2021. Executive producers Justin Lin and Andrew Schneider have been added to the production team, with Lin also directing the show’s pilot. The production companies involved in creating The Endgame are Universal Television, Nicholas Wootton Productions, Jake Coburn Productions, Inc., My So-Called Company, and Perfect Storm Entertainment.

The show cast Morena Baccarin, Ryan Michelle Bathé, Kamal Angelo Bolden, Costa Ronin, Noah Bean, Jordan Johnson-Hinds, and Mark D. Espinoza as main characters when it was ordered. Karl Josef Co and Massiel Mordan joined the cast on November 18, 2021. The show premiered on February 21, 2022, but unfortunately, NBC decided to cancel it after one season on May 12, 2022.

The series has received mixed reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a 33% approval rating based on 12 reviews, and the consensus is that while Baccarin’s performance is entertaining, the show’s convoluted plot and silliness detract from its overall quality. On Metacritic, the series scored 44 out of 100 based on 7 reviews, indicating a similarly mixed response.
