Sanditon TV Series Overview

Sanditon is a 2019 British period drama television series based on the unfinished novel of the same name by Jane Austen. It premiered in the United Kingdom on ITV and PBS Masterpiece in the United States on 25 August 2019. The eight-part series was written by Andrew Davies, directed by Oliver Blackburn, and produced by Red Planet Pictures and Masterpiece for ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

The story follows Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams), a young woman from Willingden who moves to Sanditon, an idyllic coastal settlement attempting to reinvent itself as a seaside resort. The 2nd and 3rd instalments of the series of which were released in March 2022 and 2023 successively. Since the 3rd season was announced as the series finale, there is no possibility of Season 4. Nevertheless, if it had happened, the Sanditon Season 4 release date could be March 2024.

Unfortunately, fans will have to give up their hope of seeing a fourth instalment to the British Historical Drama Series.
