Bigg Boss OTT is back with a bang with it’s season 2 and we can’t keep calm about the same!
The OTT spin-off of the reality show Bigg Boss has roped in some controversial names for this season that completes the list of 13 contestants locked in the BB house. One amongst them is famous television actor Avinash Sachdev, known for his roles as Shlok Agnihotri in ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?’, ‘Ek Baar Phir’. The actor rose to popularity as Dev in serial ‘Chotti Bahu’.
What makes his entry in Bigg Boss OTT 2, controversial yet interesting, is that he is sharing the house with his ex-girlfriend Palak Purswani. The couple dated each other for 4 years which ended last year. Their encounter on the show is expected to bring forth a lot of drama, obviously, which has already started to show off. Avinash Sachdev was born in Mumbai and raised in Vadodara, Gujarat. He completed his education in Vadodara itself. During his time there, he achieved pageant titles like Mr. Baroda, Mr. University, and Mr. Gujarat (2004-2005), which motivated him to participate in the Gladrags Model Hunt. From a young age, Avinash displayed a keen interest in filmmaking production and actively engaged in various projects to enhance his skills in this field. Eventually, he relocated to Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he embarked on his acting career.
Avinash kick started his career as an assistant director, making his debut on the TV show “Hatim” at the age of 18. Additionally, he had the opportunity to assist Farhan Akhtar on the film “Rock On!!”
In 2006, Avinash made a cameo appearance on the TV series “Karam Apnaa Apnaa” before venturing into negative roles. He portrayed negative characters in “Khwaish” and “Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil” in 2008. His breakthrough came with the role of Dev in “Chotti Bahu” in 2008, which garnered him recognition. The show also featured Rubina Dilaik, the winner of Bigg Boss 14.
From 2013 to 2015, Avinash was associated with the sequel of “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?” where he played the role of an arrogant businessman Shlok Agnihotri. He also appeared in the TV series “Qubool Hai 4” as Armaan Raza Sheikh and in “Balika Vadhu – Lamhe Pyaar Ke” in 2016. Prior to his participation in Bigg Boss OTT 2, Avinash had already been a part of various reality TV shows. Interestingly, he previously appeared on “Nach Baliye 2” alongside Palak, who is also a contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 2.
